Future Indefinite Tense
Definition (সংজ্ঞা): ভবিষ্যতে কোন কাজ সংঘটিত হবে বুঝালে verb-এর Future indefinite tense হয়।
Structure (গঠন): Sub + shall/will + verb 4 base form
সাধারণত 1st person-এর পর shall এবং 2nd ও 3rd person-এর পর will বসে। কোন Verb-এর কাজ ভবিষ্যতকালে সংঘটিত হবে বুঝালে এর Future simple tense হয়।
Uses (ব্যবহার): ভবিষ্যতে নির্দিষ্ট সময় প্রকাশের জন্য এই tense ব্যবহৃত হয় ।
- The boys will start on Saturday.
- He will leave tonight.
সাধারণত Present continuous-এর পরিবর্তে আমরা Future simple tense ব্যবহার করি। অথবা আমরা বলতে পারি নিকটবর্তী ভবিষ্যত Simple future-কে Present continuous অথবা Present Indefinite tense-এ ব্যবহার করা যায় । যেমন—
I am starting tonight.-এর অর্থ ‘আমি যাত্রা করার জন্য সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেছি।’
- I shall start tonight.
- I am starting tonight.
- I start tonight.
Note: Will
আমরা যখন মনে করি যে, ভবিষ্যতে কোন একটা কাজ অবশ্যই ঘটবে তখন I ও We-এর পরে Shall ব্যবহার না করে আমরা Will ব্যবহার করি। কিভাবে তা বিভিন্ন Situation-এ ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে তা লক্ষ কর :
Offering to do something [কোন কিছু করার প্রস্তাব দিয়ে]
- These sums are tough: I’ll help you to work these out.
- Father needs help: We’ll help him.
Agreeing or refusing to do something : [কোন কিছু করার ব্যাপারে রাজী হওয়া বা না হওয়া]
- Rajeeb: Ten days ago, I gave you a book. May I not get it?
- Tapan: Of course, I will give it back tomorrow.
- Farida: I’m weak in English. Will you help me?
- Laila: Of course, I will help you.
Promising to do something [কোন কিছু করার প্রতিজ্ঞা]
- Karim: Please, borrow me the book. I promise I’ll return it tomorrow.
- Hasan: I won’t tell him, I promise.
Asking someone to do something [Will you…….?]
- Will you please, give me a glass of water?
- Will you please, visit his ailing mother?
Future Continuous Tense
Definition (সংজ্ঞা): ভবিষ্যতে কোন কাজ চলতে থাকবে, হতে থাকবে অথবা কোন কিছু ঘটতে থাকবে বোঝালে Verb-এর Future continuous tense হয়।
Structure (গঠন): Sub + shall/will be + present participle

Uses (ব্যবহার): (i) ভবিষ্যতে কোন কাজ কিছুক্ষণ ধরে চলতে থাকবে বুঝালে Future continuous tense হয়। যেমন-
- They will be working in the field from 7 am to 2 pm.
- I shall be doing the work tomorrow.
(ii) ভবিষ্যতকাল বোঝালে:
- I am finishing it tomorrow.
(iii) Near future বোঝাতে:
- I am going to London tomorrow.
- I am seeing Rafiq tomorrow.
(iv) We use the form ‘Will be doing’ in different ways:
- I shall be seeing him this evening.
- Will your friend be arriving tomorrow?
(v) We can use this form to ask about somebody’s plans.
- Will you be passing the post office when you are out?
- Will you be using your bicycle this evening?
(vi) More examples of future continuous:
- You will be working here.
- He will be working as usual.
Futuer Perfect Tense
Definition (সংজ্ঞা): ভবিষ্যতে দুটি কাজ হবে বোঝালে যেটি পূর্বে হবে সেটির Future perfect tense হবে এবং যেটি পরে হবে সেটির Present অথবা Future indefinite tense হবে.
Structure (গঠন): Subject + shall/ will have + Past participle
Uses (ব্যবহার): Before দ্বারা দুটি ভবিষ্যত কাজ যুক্ত হলে, পূর্ববর্তী Clause-এ verb-এর Future perfect হয় এবং পরবর্তী Clause-এ verb-এর Present simple বা Future simple tense হয়। যেমন—
- We shall have reached the field before the game starts.
Negative-এ shall বা will-এর পর not বসে। যেমন-
- He will not have done this by this time.
Future Perfect Continuous Tense
Definition (সংজ্ঞা) : ভবিষ্যতে কোন একটি কাজ অপর একটি ভবিষ্যত কাজ শুরু হওয়ার পূর্ব পর্যন্ত কিছুকাল ধরে চলতে থাকবে এরূপ বোঝালে পূর্ববর্তী Clause-এর verb-এর Future perfect continuous tense হয় এবং পূর্ববর্তী Clause- এর verb-এর Present simple হয়। যথা—
- I shall have been working for some hours before he arrives.
Structure (গঠন): Subject + shall/will have been + present participle
Uses (ব্যবহার): যখন ক্রিয়া চলমান অবস্থায় থাকে
- By the end of the month he will have been living here for five years.
- By the end of the month he will have been climbing mountains for two years.
